Dear Parents,
Children are a blessing from God, but with that blessing is the responsibility to bring up the child the way we are instructed in Gods Word. This includes spanking! Don't let the world's negative view of this, or your own personal feelings keep you from obeying God's Word concerning this. Parents have said that spanking their child is one of the hardest things they have to do. Some parents flat out ignore what scripture says. They claim that sitting down the child for a pep-talk can be just as effective. However, this is an erroneous and dangerous humanistic philosophy! Essentially, they think they know better then the Almighty God! By no means should this point of view enter your heart!
I encourage you to read and obey Gods Word!
PROVERBS 20:30
The blueness of a wound cleanseth away evil: so do stripes the inward parts of the belly.
PROVERBS 23:13&14
13.Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.
14. Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.
PROVERBS 29:15&17
15. The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame. 17. Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.
There is a wrong way to spank and that is to spank in anger.
PROVERBS14:17 He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.
Please remember that spanking you child is essentually showing them that you love them.
PROVERBS 13:24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.
